Zinedine Zidane And Marco Materazzi Make Peace Four Years After World Cup Bust-Up

Zinedine Zidane and Marco Materazzi have ended a four-year feud after

calling a truce in Milan, according to Marca.

The men have been at odds since their World Cup 2006 battle where Zidane was sent off for his headbutt on the defender in the final between France and Italy.

But peace has been re-established as they spoke when Materazzi went to visit Jose Mourinho in a Milan hotel on Wednesday.

There he bumped into Zidane, who was with the Real Madrid squad for their Champions League match – the Frenchman is an advisor to Florentino Perez, the Merengues president.

Materazzi and Zidane greeted each other and then started speaking. In the end, peace was the outcome of their meeting.

“There was a conclusion of peace, the scene ended with an affectionate hug, the past has been forgotten.”
