Fernando Torres admits Spain against England would be his “dream final” at this summer’s World Cup and feels England are good enough to win the trophy.
The Liverpool striker is currently in a race against time to prove his fitness ahead of this summer’s event in South Africa, having been forced to undergo knee surgery.
Although Torres will not play for his club again this season, the former Atletico Madrid man is expected to be included in Spain’s 23-man squad.
The 26-year-old believes England are one of the main rivals to the European Championship holders, as they seek to claim football’s major prize.
Torres stated: “It’s hard to see a weakness in the England team. All they need to do now is break the mental barrier that going out at the quarter-final stage creates.”
