Sergio Aguero Optimistic About Manchester City Move

Sergio Aguero has said that he does not have any fears about adapting to life in England, following his £35 million move to Sergio AgueroManchester City.

Aguero, 23, joined City – seemingly as a replacement for compatriot Carlos Tevez – after Tevez expressed a desire to return home to be closer to his family. Aguero also revealed that another international team-mate, Pablo Zabaleta, convinced him that his future lay at Eastlands.

“I spoke to Zabaleta and he spoke really positively about the club,” Aguero told the club’s official website. “He has told me all about them. He told me it is a happy squad so I’m looking forward to meeting them.

“I asked my agents to do everything they could because this was a good club and I’d always wanted to play in the Premier League. It’s a good club and it felt right.”

Referring to his wife Giannina, daughter of Diego Maradona, and their son Benjamin, he said: “They are living with me now,” he told the club’s official website.

“There will be friends and family coming to see me and I was in the same team as Maxi [Rodriguez, the Liverpool midfielder] and I get on well with him, we are good friends. I am sure I am going to enjoy myself here and life will be fine.”

Meanwhile, Enrique Cerezo, president at Aguero’s former club Atletico Madrid, has told Spanish radio station COPE: “It’s an issue that is finished and closed. He had a clause in his contract and City have paid it, but I still wonder what we have done for him to treat us in this way.

“The truth is that things could have been done better, but the reality is that we have to focus on the season because we no longer have Aguero.”
