Glen Johnson Ready To Tackle Manchester United

Liverpool defender Glen Johnson is crossing his fingers he’ll be fit in time to face bitter rivals Manchester United next Glen Johnsonweekend.

Johnson has had a dismal season racked with injury and made only one appearance for the Reds, coming on as a substitute in game the Merseysiders lost against Stoke last month.

The England international suffered a hamstring injury in that fixture and has been sidelined ever since.

However, he is back in contention for Kenny Dalglish and is hoping to be available when champions United visit Anfield on October 15.

Johnson told the club’s official website: “I’m feeling good at the moment and I’ve been doing plenty of running.

“I’ve just started doing ball work outside in training so I reckon it won’t be too long now.

“I’m working hard and it would be nice to be back in the squad for the Man United game. Hopefully I can make the bench anyway, so fingers crossed,” he said.
