Didier Drogba will snub a summer move and remain at Chelsea for next season.
The Ivory Coast striker is thought to have been unsettled by the £50m signing of Fernando Torres in January.
The Spanish striker has often been picked before him despite a goal drought that only ended last weekend.
Drogba, 33, has been linked with a £15m move to Real Madrid where he would be reunited with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.
But the striker’s agent, Thierno Seydi, met with chief executive Ron Gourlay to thrash out the striker’s future.
Seydi insists Drogba, who has a year remaining on his contract, is not looking to leave Stamford Bridge and that he will stay for an eighth season.
‘A lot was said over a possible departure of Didier Drogba,’ Seydi said. ‘That is not the order of the day.’
‘He stays at this club, which he knows very well.’
Marseille have also rumoured to be keen to bring him back to the club where he spent a year before moving to London.
Tottenham has also been mentioned as a possible destination with boss Harry Redknapp keen to add a new striker to his squad.
