The Blues are adamant that the recent speculation surrounding the Italian’s future is “total nonsense”, but confirmed that Frank Arnesen would be leaving his position as sporting director at the end of the season.
However, latest rumours have linked the club with Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola.
The Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti says he has no idea if the club are planning to replace him, as he shrugs off talk over his future.”I have heard of Pep Guardiola, to be frank,” said Ancelotti.
“But you don’t have to ask me – the coach is always the last to know. Don’t ask me.
“We are not interested. We focus on our training and our matches.”
As well as Arnesen, Chelsea have also parted company with assistant Ray Wilkins recently, but Ancelotti refused to be drawn on rumours linking former Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain with a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues boss joked: “I don’t know this name. I think there was a player at Barcelona, but I don’t know what job he is doing now.”
