Inter Milan President Massimo Moratti played down speculation about the future of Manchester United target Wesley Sneijder, insisting that the Dutchman would be staying at the Treble winners.
It was reported on Sunday that Manchester United had renewed their interest in the midfield star, with the 26-year-old having failed to agree terms on a new contract with Inter Milan .
But Moratti said that the new deal would likely be tied up this week.
“I think this week he will renew his contract,” Moratti told the Italian Sky Sport 24 network
Sneijder was perhaps Inter’s most influential player last season as the club swept to an unprecedented Treble.
He has two-and-a-half-years left on his current Inter deal and is valued at €30M+.
