Santos playmaker Ganso has revealed he hopes to one day play for La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Over the last couple of seasons, Ganso has established himself as one of the best young playmakers in world football, and is now a regular in Mano Menezes’ Brazil squad.
However, it has been Ganso’s Santos team-mate Neymar who has hogged the headlines lately, with Real, Barcelona and Chelsea among a host of clubs rumoured to be after the talented forward’s signature.
Ganso on the other hand has been strongly linked with a move to reigning Serie A champions AC Milan, but as the player admits, it is Real who he dreams of playing for.
“For me, it would be a dream to play someday at Madrid, my favourite club,” Ganso said, according to Marca.
Nonetheless, Ganso, known for his humble approach off the pitch, was quick to shift the spotlight on Neymar, whom he believes would be an ideal signing for Los Blancos, despite his team-mates erratic behaviour.
“Neymar will make the entire Bernabeu stand up.
“He is not crazy, he is a great person and a very good professional – a star.
“The fans would really like him, he is a player out of the ordinary, a number one.
“He would fit in there perfectly.”
Despite the interest in the duo’s services across Europe, both Ganso and Neymar have been tipped to stay at Santos at least until next year.
This is due to the fact that Santos will be taking part in the Club World Cup this season after their Copa Libertadores triumph, which Neymar has already stated he hopes to win with the Brazilian outfit.
