The Gunners are reportedly keen on bringing in the Croatian defender in the summer.
Arsenal are closing in on Dinamo Zagreb full-back Sime Vrsaljko and are willing to shell out £15m, if the Croatian press is to be believed.
The 19-year-old, has impressed during a season and a half with club Dinamo Zagreb and at all youth levels of the Croatian national team.
And Croatian site 24sata.hr claims Premier League side Arsenal have pipped Manchester United and City in the race for the promising defender’s services for a fee of £15m, with club officials arriving at Zagreb to push the deal forward.
Dinamo vice-president Zdravko Mamic, nicknamed “The Master of Negotiations”, refused an initial offer of £10m and persuaded Arsenal to up their bid to three million more than what they previously paid Dinamo for Eduardo da Silva, according to the story.
